The game started with the sides probing each other through the middle, with the forwards and centres. On the 8th minute mark Kanturk were on for a try out wide but were able to run to the back of the sticks to make it an easy conversion.

7 - 0 To Kanturk.

A great response from Mallow saw them score on the 12th minute, followed by 2 more tries on the 14th and 16th mintue mark, 2 from No13 Darragh Carroll and one from No.8 Donnacha Collins. All 3 were converted by the No.10, Tommy O' Sullivan.

On the 21st minute Kanturk scored another try but unfortunatly missed the conversion.

Half time score 21- 12 to Mallow

The second half started well with Mallow playing down the field.

Mallow got out of the traps early and caught Kanturk with 2 quick break away tries, both out wide on the 33rd and 37th minute from No.6 Jack Corconan and No.15 Sean Callanan. 2 difficult conversions were missed with one hitting the left upright.

On the 46th minute Mallow scored a hard fought try by the LHP No.1 Cian O' Mahony, again a difficult conversion missed.

The Mallow forwards scored 2 more further tries, one from No.8 Donnacha Collins the second coming from No.18 Ciaran Fitzpatrick. Both converted by No.21 Diarmuid O Riordan.
